Washington Mutual to cease supporting Bank Day
Washington Mutual Bank is discontinuing the School Savings program on May 1, 2009. Our Bank Day parents are researching other banking options, so we'll keep you posted. You will still be able to bank at their local branches.
Save Our Elms Coffee orders
Thanks to all you coffee drinkers, Richmond's Save Our Elms account has about $1000 in it - with $610 of it raised only in the first half of this year. This money is used to help preserve our 18 mature Elms surrounding our school. While the cost of innoculant does vary greatly from year to year, it costs approximately $150 to innoculate each tree with an antifungal to ward off Dutch Elm Disease for three years. We have about $1700 more to raise before our next innoculation due in the summer of 2007.Please keep your orders coming in! All you have to do is fill out an order form, specify whether you want ground or whole bean and drop a check ($10 for each pound of coffee) made out the "Save Our Elms" in the Elms box in the office. No cash, please! The order form has information about the coffees on it.
Orders placed by Thursday at 11:00 am should be available for pick up in the office by Friday afternoon.
